I've located my sketch pad and am redrawing these (and Bob) in it. I will need to draw them on my paint boards as well. Going to get a lot of practice. No more scrap paper, unless, of course, it happens. For now, this is as far as I'm going with these sketches.

  1. Good practice! Definitely use good paper--you want to save these. When you get to doing them on paint boards, will you be drawing them with a paintbrush or a pencil?

  2. Oh, I think I need to draw in pencil. As difficult as it is to get them right, the eraser almost becomes a necessity.

  3. Both of the pictures I have of Beth (scrap and book) are very close, only slightly off (from each other and the photo). Problem is, I don't know which of them is better. Cindy says first one. Maybe I won't worry about it too much. Maybe it's like eyeballing a 2 x 10 to determine the crown--if you have to look at it twice, it's straight enough.

  4. When you paint it, it'll probably be slightly different anyway and they are so close that I don't think it matters which one you work from.
