is there a way that I can have the blog email me when someone posts?

    I did it for you (I think). Let me know if it doesn't work. I prefer to have the blog set as my home page so don't know exactly how the email system works.

    I have a shortcut set on my desktop so all I have to do is click on it and go immediately to the blog. That is, as fast as my old and slow computer will take me. Even so, within a minute or so, I can see whether or not someone has posted a new message. I don't have enough knowledge to set it up with an e-mail. Necessity is the mother...however.

    The only thing I found is where you can subscribe to actual posts--where you see below where to post a comment so let me know if Phyl's thing works....

    I added Berty and Helen both (still don't know for sure if it works) but that doesn't mean that you three can just read the blog posts in your email and just slack--you're supposed to contribute as authors too!

    Phyl, that was a very diplomatic way to give your younger sisters a scolding. Now, we'll see if it works. Maybe next time you'll have to threaten to take their "bonuses" back, like Congress.

    Well, I can tell you it doesn't work for comments but might work for posting but.... someone has to post to find out! and don't yell at me, Phyl, I blogged! I really, just wanted something to tell me that someone has posted because I have a shortcut on my desktop but I thought it would be nice if I got an email when there was something new to read....Interesting how Bert, Helen & Bob are all here to comment but no blogging from them..... hmmmmm
